Essential oils are volatile, meaning they evaporate quickly and reach the brain’s various centers through the sense of smell, affecting our psyche and influencing our mood. They can either relax and calm us or stimulate and revitalize us.

AROMATHERAPY DEVICE
How to use: Thanks to their beneficial properties, essential oils help you relax after a tiring day, focus when performing mentally demanding tasks, or energize you. They can also be used to create a fresh and pleasant atmosphere by neutralizing unwanted odors.
Light a tea light candle and place it in the base of the Apivita Ceramic Essential Oil Diffuser. Within minutes, the essential oils will begin to diffuse into the air.
Usage amount: 1-8 drops in a small amount of water. Ensure that there is always some water in the diffuser.
MASSAGE
How to use: Massage is one of the oldest therapeutic methods and a key practice in aromatherapy. The essential oils penetrate the skin through the massage, offering toning, revitalization, or relaxation. Add the essential oil or oil blend to the base oil (Apivita Natural Almond Oil or Massage Blend) and mix well. Enjoy a therapeutic massage with gentle, circular motions on the body.
Usage amount: 30-35 drops in 100 ml of base oil.
BATH
How to use: One of the simplest and most enjoyable ways to use essential oils is in the bath. Fill the bathtub with warm water. A lukewarm or warm bath can relax both the mind and body, while a cool or cold bath brings a sense of toning and revitalization. Add drops of your favorite essential oil or blend, and stir the water to dissolve. For sensitive skin, it’s better to dilute the essential oils in a base oil like almond or jojoba. Stay in the tub for at least 10 minutes, relaxing and breathing deeply.
Usage amount: 3-8 drops.
INHALATIONS
How to use: Inhalations are proven to be beneficial for easing and releasing breathing, especially in the winter months. Steam inhalations with essential oils can also be used for facial cleansing and detoxification. Fill a bowl with hot, steaming water and add drops of essential oil. Close your eyes and carefully lean over the bowl. Cover your head and the bowl with a towel and inhale for a total of 10 minutes.
Usage amount: 2-3 drops per bowl of water.
COMPRESSES
How to use: Fill a bowl with warm water and add drops of essential oil or oil blend. Soak the compress in the mixture and squeeze out any excess water. Apply it to the desired area.
Usage amount: 3-5 drops.
SKINCARE
How to use: Essential oils are highly beneficial for facial care as they hydrate, tone, and revitalize the skin. Add essential oils to a natural product for cleansing, toning, or moisturizing, for glowing skin. You can ideally mix them with Apivita’s Natural Oils.

Essential oils are highly concentrated substances that can be harmful if not used with caution. If in doubt or for further queries, consult your doctor or an experienced aromatherapist. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
Essential oils should never be used undiluted on the skin. Always dilute them with a base vegetable oil or in bathwater.
Some oils may cause sensitivity or allergic reactions in certain individuals. If you have sensitive skin, always perform a patch test on the inside of your arm by gently rubbing a small amount of diluted essential oil and wait 24 hours to see if any reaction occurs.
Avoid sun exposure or solariums for over 12 hours after applying essential oils from citrus fruits.
If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or an experienced aromatherapist before using any essential oil.
Use with caution when applying essential oils to babies and children under 12. Many oils are unsuitable for infants and children, and those that are, should only be used in very small amounts and diluted 2-4 times more than for adults.
Essential oils are flammable, so keep them away from fire hazards. Use only in devices specifically designed for this purpose.
Device use: Avoid prolonged use in areas without adequate ventilation. Never leave unattended.
