Essential oils are volatile, meaning they evaporate quickly and reach different areas of the brain through the sense of smell, affecting our psyche and influencing our mood. They can either relax and calm us or invigorate and rejuvenate us.
You can choose from the various uses of APIVITA's Essential Oils to enrich and beautify your daily activities.
AROMATHERAPY DEVICE
Usage instructions: Thanks to their beneficial properties, essential oils help you relax after a tiring day, focus when doing work requiring mental clarity, or energize you. They can also be used to ensure a clean and pleasant atmosphere by neutralizing unwanted odors. Light the tealight and place it in the base of the APIVITA Ceramic Aromatherapy Device. After a few minutes, the essential oils will begin to diffuse into the air.
Usage quantity: 1-8 drops in a small amount of water. It’s important to always have a little water in the aromatherapy device.
MASSAGE
Usage instructions: Massage is one of the oldest therapeutic methods and is one of the core applications of aromatherapy. Thanks to the massage movements, essential oils penetrate the skin, offering toning, rejuvenation, or relaxation. Add the essential oil or oil blend to the base oil (APIVITA Natural Oil Almond or Massage Blend) and mix well. Enjoy a beneficial massage with gentle circular movements on the body.
Usage quantity: 30-35 drops in 100ml of base oil.
BATH
Usage instructions: One of the easiest and most pleasant ways to use essential oils is in the bath. Fill the bathtub with warm water. A lukewarm or hot bath can relax the mind and body, while a cool or cold bath provides a sense of toning and rejuvenation. Add drops of an essential oil or your favorite blend, then stir the water to dissolve. For sensitive skin, it’s best to dissolve the essential oils in a base oil, such as almond or jojoba. Stay in the bathtub for at least ten minutes, relaxing and breathing deeply.
Usage quantity: 3-8 drops.
INHALATIONS
Usage instructions: Inhalations are proven to be beneficial for easing and releasing breathing, especially in the winter months. Also, steam with essential oils can be used to cleanse and detoxify the face. Fill a bowl with hot steaming water and add drops of essential oil. Close your eyes and carefully lean over the bowl. Cover your head and the bowl with a towel and inhale for a total of ten minutes.
Usage quantity: 2-3 drops per bowl of water.
COMPRESSES
Usage instructions: Fill a bowl with warm water and add drops of essential oil or an oil blend. Soak a compress and wring out the excess water. Then, apply it to the desired area.

SKINCARE
Usage instructions: Essential oils are very beneficial for facial care as they hydrate, tone, and rejuvenate. Add essential oils to a natural cleansing, toning, or moisturizing product for glowing skin. Ideally, you can add them to APIVITA’s Natural Oils.
Usage quantity: Depends on the base used. Consult your pharmacist or an experienced aromatherapist for advice.
CAUTION: Essential oils are highly concentrated substances and can be harmful if not used carefully. If you have doubts or further questions, consult your doctor or an experienced aromatherapist.
Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
Essential oils should never be used undiluted on the skin. Always use them in diluted form, mixed with the appropriate base oil or in bath water, for example.
Some oils may cause sensitivity or allergic reactions in certain individuals. If you have sensitive skin, always perform an allergy test on the inner part of your arm, gently rubbing a small amount of diluted essential oil on that spot and waiting 24 hours to see if any reaction occurs.
Avoid sun exposure or solarium for more than 12 hours after using essential oils with citrus.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor or an experienced aromatherapist before using any essential oil.
Use with great caution when applying essential oils to babies and children under 12. Many oils are unsuitable for babies and children, and those that are suitable should only be used in very small amounts, diluted 2-4 times more than for adults.
Essential oils are flammable; keep them away from potential fire sources. Only use them in devices designed for this purpose.
Device usage: Avoid long durations of use in places without proper ventilation. Never leave it unattended.
