Co-enzyme Q-10 or CoQ10 (2,3-dimethoxy, 5-methyl, 6-polyisoprene parabenzoquinone) or ubiquinone 50 (Ubiquinone) is a lipophilic, redox active molecule found in all cell membranes. It contains a quinone ring, forming the head, and a hydrophobic tail, containing 10 isoprenal units, as the name itself says.
Ubiquinone: It is present in all tissues, but its highest concentrations are found in the heart, kidneys, brain, and liver.
