The Triphala is an ayurvedic cleansing the digestive system.
It includes in its composition three fruits (amla, harada and behada), which are dried, pulverized and then used in equal proportions in the composition of the formulation. Historically used as a means of cleansing the digestive system as well as a tonic, numerous modern studies demonstrate the positive effects of herbs it contains.

The mechanism of action is so far unknown, but according to the cancer center Memorial, probably due to the phytochemicals (polyphenols and flavonoids) present in the formulation. It has antiinflammatory, antibacterial and antitumor activity and also has proven to be a powerful antioxidant that protects cells from the harmful effects of free radicals.

Also has immunomodulatory properties, thus enabling the body to regulate the immune response by increasing or decreasing the ability of the immune system to produce antibodies. Also, for thousands of years it has been used as an Ayurvedic herb in Ayurvedic medicine, where it is used to treat anemia, constipation, asthma, diarrhea, chronic ulcers, fever, inflammation, jaundice and obesity.
